    We are seeking a Head of Post Production to lead our talented team in delivering world-class stock media content.     You will oversee the complete post-production process for both photo and video, manage strategic projects with global partners, and foster a collaborative, value-driven culture within the team.     What You’ll Do:
    • Lead and mentor the post-production team, ensuring efficiency, quality, and innovation.
    • Oversee content workflows from selection through to approval and distribution.
    • Integrate AI tools and process automation to improve speed and reduce costs.
    • Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Manage dataset projects with international partners.
    • Maintain rigorous quality control and copyright compliance.

    Photographer/Videographer required for stock library business based in Cape Town city centre.

    One of the most important elements in securing this position is having experience in maintaining order and structure on stills shoots - a job for only the most calm-headed, enthusiastic, and creative individual!     Summary/Objective:

    As a freelance photographer at Wavebreak Media your primary purpose is to capture high-quality and visually appealing images that meet the demands of the stock photography market. Your role involves creating a diverse portfolio of images that covers the brief created by the Art Director.


    Responsibilities:
    • To shoot stock images as per a provided brief (All images will be the property of the company).
    • Source locations and negotiate rates (if permanent).
    • Good with people, ability to direct models of all ages.
    • Ability to solve problems and to find solutions calmly and efficiently.
    • Ability to work productively under pressure.
    • Ability to work within a team.
    • Driving license & own vehicle essential.
    • Availability for long work hours, might include weekends.
    • Awareness of current trends.
    • Punctuality and reliability.
    • Reach set Target for each production.

    Qualifications and Skills:
    • Previous experience in stock photography/videography essential.
    • Familiarity with the stock photography market and an understanding of customer needs and preferences.
    • Proficiency in operating professional-grade cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and other photography gear.
    • Canon proficient - RED proficient - Black Magic proficient
    • Computer literate – upload, backup and rendering of images (if permanent).
    • A bachelor's degree in photography, visual arts, or a related field is preferred, although not always mandatory. Equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio can also be considered.
    • Extensive knowledge of photography principles, including exposure, composition, lighting, and color theory.
    • Demonstrated ability to capture high-quality, visually appealing images across various subjects and genres.
    • Strong understanding of different photography styles, techniques, and genres.
    • Experience in shooting in various environments and conditions, including natural light and studio setups.
    • Ability to direct and work effectively with models and subjects to achieve desired results.
    • Attention to detail and a keen eye for composition, framing, and visual storytelling.
    • A robust and diverse portfolio showcasing exceptional photography skills and a range of subjects and styles.
    • The portfolio should demonstrate creativity, technical proficiency, and the ability to meet commercial requirements.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, models, and team members.
    • Ability to take direction and incorporate feedback into the creative process.

    The successful candidate will report to Operations Manager and will be required to be flexible in all tasks while meeting the company objectives.
